Having moved over 25 times in her lifetime and spending over two decades climbing the property ladder renovating several equine-oriented properties.Β Louise and her partner decided it was time for a change, so, in 2014, they packed their bags and along with their three dogs and four horses set sail for southern France.
Living the dream meant yet another renovation, but for the first time a place they could call a home instead of a project. In their equine paradise, with beautiful scenery, and perfect pace of life. their love for hiking and horseback escapades truly found its happy place, whether gallivanting on two legs or gallantly trotting on four!
As the looming cloud of Brexit approached, it was time to bid a fond farewell to her on-line equestrian retail venture, a business that had gracefully trotted through a successful 20+ year run.
But as one barn door closed, another swung wide open and the opportunity arrived to focus on building her years long passion in combining buying, renovating and selling equestrian properties and facilitating the dreams of others to also find their perfect rural property.
The undertaking swiftly revealed itself to be a huge endeavor, and time for a collaboration. And who better to join forces with than Jane, a fellow visionary with a knack for creativity.Β
In 2015, Jane made a life-changing decision and relocated to South West France with her family, including her mum and stepdad.
As the designated project manager, she devoted months to the task of finding the perfect property, and the search involved numerous viewings.
Finally, they found their dream home, nestled in the serene beauty of South West France, and all enjoy picturesque landscapes, tranquil woodland walks, a charming lake, and, of course, a refreshing swimming pool!
In her professional life, Jane worked as an online business marketing consultant, helping entrepreneurs grow their ventures. When her friend Louise approached her with an exciting opportunity to collaborate on a new niche property portal, Jane eagerly accepted.
The experience of searching for and buying a property with specific land requirements had been arduous, and Jane understood the frustration of dealing with generic estate agents.
Thus, this venture seemed like the perfect solution to a much-needed problem.
With enthusiasm and passion, Jane and Louise embarked on a partnership that proved adventures are best when shared, and that laughter is an essential companion on any quest.
Together “Farms and Equestrian” was bought into existence.
