Off-market, hidden property or private listings are some of terms used to for properties not being advertised publicly via the traditional methods such as on-line portals, magazine or other mediums.  

This way of selling is becoming popular with around 5-10% if property sales in the UK and France being sold this way with many reasons for the seller to go down this route. These hidden properties may be sold privately, through word-of-mouth, or through an estate agent or broker who has a direct relationship with the owner.
